I suppose this is the place where I tell you a little about myself. Herein lies a small problem. I’m a fairly private person. I’m not sure I want everyone who browses the internet to know my business. Do you have any idea what kind of weirdos are lurking on the internet late at night…or anytime for that matter?! How do I know you are not one of them? On the other hand – how do you know I’m not one of them? See, there…I caught you looking back up at my picture. You’re thinking to yourself “he looks pretty harmless”. Well, hold that thought…

At this point you’ll just have to take my word for it that I’m about as harmless as I look in the picture. If it’s any consolation to you – I will (at least for the moment) trust that you are also pretty harmless and just stumbled upon my blog because you were looking for a new recipe for Verenitje and Schmauntphat. (If you happen to know what that is you are quite likely of German Mennonite origin – or married to someone who is)

Enough about me, let’s talk about you. Why don’t you leave a comment and tell me a little about who you are, and why you like (or don’t like) what you found here so far. I would even take suggestions on how to make it more interesting. And if you really are looking for a recipe for Verenitje I may be able to direct you to a place where you can find it.
